1. Find the latitude
and longitude of the following cities on a map or globe. Write it down on a chart or
list. Then go to Graphic Maps
to check your answers. Be sure to include these on your chart. 2. Plan a trip. Use a transportation map to make a list of directions and roads to take. Use the scale to determine the distance you will travel. Use a calculator to estimate how long your trip will take if you travel an average of 65 mph. List the latitude and longitude of your starting and ending points. (Put all of this info. into a Word document.) When you are finished, use MapQuest to make a map of your trip. Insert the map into your document. Print it and label the map's title, scale, key, and compass rose. |
